What is this study about?
The purpose of this research is to examine the types of repatriation support practices provided to employees returning from overseas assignments (repatriates), their perceptions of the organisation and career development activities on their return home from international assignments. This will provide organisations and human resource practitioners' knowledge to provide better support to repatriates and assist employee retention.
Nature and extent of your participation
You have been invited to participate in this research project as a repatriate, and in a position to comment on your experiences in relation to the provision of repatriate support practices, perception of the organization, and personal background.
It will take you approximately 15 minutes to complete the questionnaire, however it is possible to logout of the questionnaire prior to completion and come back later to finish it by using your password.
Your decision to complete and submit the questionnaire is taken as consent that you have read the information on this information sheet and that you understand the procedures, that your questions have been answered to your satisfaction, that you understand that you don't have to answer any question, that you may withdraw from the study by not submitting the questionnaire, and that you have freely chosen to participate in this study. Should you choose to participate by responding and submitting the questionnaire, please keep this information sheet for your own reference. In submitting this questionnaire, you agree to participate in this study and understand that research data gathered for the study may be published, and only aggregated data will be analysed.
Privacy and Confidentiality
The right of privacy, confidentiality and respect for the participants will be observed at all times. To protect confidentiality only aggregated data will be analysed. This data will be secured for seven years in accordance with Deakin University Guidelines on data storage.
This research is independent of your employing organisation and is being conducted for academic purposes only. Results from this study will be published in books, academic journals and conference papers, however, there will be no information identifying the participants or their organisations by name. However no findings will be published which could identify any individual or organisation.
This project has been approved by the Deakin University Human Research Ethics Committee, Project Approval No. EC-321-20.
